5 Essentials for Sunday Morning.

Hello, Beautiful People!!
Today I would be sharing with us 5 important or essentials  items you should always have with you on Sunday morning.

These five items have helped me so I decided to share with somebody because I know it will help you  this Sunday.
Enjoy reading and please leave a comment so I know if there's something I'm missing out.

      NUMBER 1
Your Bible. This is the most important thing you should have in your bag and as you prepare your bag for church service.
Some people usually forget their bible at home and in church when it's time to bring out their bible they start bringing out phones, IPads, tablets etc. Yes I understand the world is evolving and technology is getting better and you can access your bible on this new gadgets but having your bible in your hand makes a difference.

You can highlight the verse or scripture that you've been taught on  and later go back and read that particular passage. While on your phone you can copy that verse or chapter or even take a screen shot and not look at it again because you have many engagements on the phone that will take your attention once you leave the church premises. Some people even forget and till next week Sunday when they open the bible app and they see what they copied the last time.
Please Remember to take your bible to church this Sunday it is  really essential.
       NUMBER 2
Your Notebook and Pen
Your book and Biro is really important because you need to write down the message that is been preached. The reason why we take down notes in church service is so we can learn what we have been taught on our own and put it to practise in our everyday lives.
We also take notes because we are unable to remember all the bible verses that were used during the sermon.

Nowadays people do not take notes to church instead they prefer to have the message written down on their phones, Ipads and tablets etc and after that sermon, they never visit that notes again till next  Sunday when it's time to write another note.

This is really bad and I know this because I have once been a victim but Jesus has helped me and I have changed.
If you are still involved please stop and buy a notebook and Pen and take to church this Sunday and see the difference it will make during the week when you decide to go back to read the preaching taught on Sunday
Meanwhile, some people do not bring anything they just sit down and listen to the message and when they walk out of the door they forget everything which is really bad.
Please make sure you do not fall into this category so make sure you take your Pen and Notebook this Sunday.
Also for people who remember to take their notebook and forget their pen please stop it.
It's really bad and very disturbing when preaching is about to start and you start disturbing everyone around you for a pen.
I also fall into this group but mine does not happen during preaching but during the offering.
I usually forget my pen because I always change my bag on Sunday morning and when it's time to fill my details on the offering envelope with my  bank card I start asking people around me for pen and there's this man that sits beside me that I normally ask for his pen and he gives me this funny face of "are you not a student?"
Should you not have a pen in your bag and he gives out his pen afterwards.
Please Remember to take your notebook and pen and if possible take the extra pen for people without a pen.
      NUMBER 3
Your Offering money or worship seed
This should always be on your mind and your offering money should be in your bag as this is very important. Remember, the Book of Proverbs 3;9  says we should Honour the LORD with thine substance and with the firstfruits of all thine increase. We are to honour God with our offering money and not to use it to buy ice cream after church.
I remember when I was really young I use to save my offering money for ice cream and buns after service but nowadays in this time and generation, ice cream and buns is no more sold after service we now have jollof rice, chicken, Moi Moi, Ayamase, puff puff gizzard and dodo.
I usually take the money for food after church separate and money for my offering differently

   NUMBER4
Your department batch or scarf or your name tag.
In your church do you serve in any department? eg ushering, choir, security, transportation etc. No matter the department I'm sure you are given name tags of the department you work and this name tag is to be worn when on duty so this is something you must have in your bag on Sunday morning. If you forget you would be unable to work in your Fathers House so please remember to put your name tag in your bag this night.

       NUMBER5
Last but not the least is your Sunday outfit. This might sound funny but very important make sure your outfits for Sunday service is ready and do not fall into the category of people who start looking for their outfit on Sunday morning and waste extra time doing that so they can get to church when preaching has started instead of during praise and worship or even before service.
On Saturday night bring out your outfit and if possible try it on to make sure the clothes and shoes fit perfectly and if there needs to be a change, do it immediately.

Best Wishes
Oluwatosin Oshodi,

Choosing God First

Last year, I worked at a university as a receptionist for various summer school events. During that time, I built meaningful connections with students and teachers and by the end of the season, I felt inspired to pursue a similar role this year. So, when Easter came around, I began applying to different summer school positions. I had an interview for one of my top choices in June, and it went really well! However, when the offer came through, there was a change in the offer. The offer was at a different location than I had applied for and required me to work six days a week—including Sundays.   I took time to consider the offer carefully. Missing church services on Sunday was not a good decision for me for six weeks due to my commitment in Church. I decided I couldn’t accept a role that would prevent me from attending church on Sundays. So, I reached out, politely declining the revised offer and asked if I could be considered for the original role that didn’t require working on Sun...

God’s Leading Is Always Superior (Part1)

In December 2022, I found myself at a crossroads. I’d just wrapped up a temporary teaching role in November and was seeking a full-time, permanent teaching position. The desire for stability and purpose was strong. I attended Shiloh program, where Bishop Oyedepo spoke passionately about seeking God’s guidance and waiting for his guidance. Following his advice, I wrote down a list of four schools I wanted to apply to and began praying over each one, asking God which direction to take. Surprisingly, I felt nudged to apply to the fifth school on my list. I began praying earnestly about this school using  two scriptures that felt particularly relevant: Genesis 1:2 - “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” Psalm 44:3 - “For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance...
