Welcome to Tosin's World! My name is Oluwatosin Oshodi—an international speaker, teacher, author, and entrepreneur. I currently teach Business Studies at a secondary school. I previously worked for one of the UK’s top recruitment firms, where I provided career guidance and job search strategies to participants. This experience led me to create CV and interview workshops for those looking to strengthen their career path under the platform SIOC. In November 2017, I founded SIOC, a platform where I share insights from the Word of God and my personal experiences to help people overcome life’s challenges. Last year, I worked at a university as a receptionist for various summer school events. During that time, I built meaningful connections with students and teachers and by the end of the season, I felt inspired to pursue a similar role this year. So, when Easter came around, I began applying to different summer school positions. I had an interview for one of my top choices in June, and it went really well! However, when the offer came through, there was a change in the offer. The offer was at a different location than I had applied for and required me to work six days a week—including Sundays. I took time to consider the offer carefully. Missing church services on Sunday was not a good decision for me for six weeks due to my commitment in Church. I decided I couldn’t accept a role that would prevent me from attending church on Sundays.
